Systemair KVK Slim – sound-insulated centrifugal fans
Systemair KVK Slim sound-insulated centrifugal fans combine highly efficient fans with a casing featuring excellent acoustic and thermal insulation. The Systemair KVK Slim fans for circular ducts are designed for both supply and extract air and can be installed in any position. The Systemair KVK Slim fan range is designed for installation in locations where a low installation height is required.

Description
The Systemair KVK Slim fans can be used for air supply or extraction. The Systemair KVK Slim fan is suitable for spaces where the utmost importance is placed on minimal noise. As a result, the fans can be used in a variety of commercial and domestic applications.
Design
The Systemair KVK Slim fans are fitted with radial impellers with backward-curved blades. The fan motor is mounted on a removable service cover for easy maintenance. The fan is fully thermally and acoustically insulated with a 40 mm layer of mineral wool. The fan casing is made from AluZinc185 material with C4-class corrosion resistance. The fan is also fitted with an IP54-rated electrical terminal block.
Installation
The Systemair KVK Slim fans can be installed in any position. Thanks to their enhanced airtightness, the Systemair KVK Slim fans can be installed outdoors without a protective canopy. Mounting brackets facilitate installation.
Thermal protection and speed control
Sizes 100–315 have motors with integrated thermal protection featuring a manual (electrical) reset.
Sizes 355–500 have motors with built-in thermal contacts connected to the terminal block, which must be connected to a suitable thermal protection relay. Fan speed can be controlled using a frequency converter with a sine filter, a thyristor or a 5-step transformer.
