The sound-insulated fan KABT/4-3000/315 IP55 is particularly suitable for large-capacity kitchens and for ventilating restaurants, sports halls, hospitals, etc. The housing of the KABT/4-3000/315 IP55 fan is made of galvanized steel sheet in a sandwich construction. The housing is fitted with a layer of sound-insulating material on the inside. The impeller of the KABT/4-3000/315 IP55 fan is radial with backward-curved blades.

Housing

The fan housing is made of galvanized steel sheet in a sandwich design. The interior of the housing is lined with sound-insulating material. The fan is mounted in the housing on spring-mounted profiles to minimize vibration transmission. The housing is equipped with a circular suction port for connecting flexible hoses or circular ductwork. The discharge side features a square opening where a reducer for circular ducting, supplied separately, can be connected. The housing includes a tray for draining grease condensate; the condensate drain outlet must be installed in accordance with the fan’s position, and the fan must be tilted appropriately toward the outlet.

Impeller

The fan impeller is a radial type with backward-curved blades. The impeller is statically and dynamically balanced and runs freely without a spiral housing.

Motor

The motor is an asynchronous motor with squirrel-cage. The motors are equipped with a thermal fuse as standard; the windings are moisture-protected with Class F insulation and an operating temperature range of -20 to 100 °C. The motor is located outside the airflow. The sealed, maintenance-free ball bearings are filled with grease for the entire service life. IP55 protection rating.

Terminal block

The terminal block is made of black plastic as standard, is attached to the power cable coming from the motor, and can be screwed into place using self-tapping screws in an easily accessible location on the housing. Cable length: 0.8 m; IP55 rating.

Noise

The noise emitted by the fan is listed in the tables for the three sections of the performance curve (free discharge, medium, and high pressure drop).

Installation

Installation must be performed with due regard to the design, operation of the fan, and maintenance activities, ensuring that the motor shaft is horizontal and the condensate tray is positioned at the bottom.
