Venplast acid-resistant centrifugal fans

Venplast chemically resistant centrifugal fans

We have added Venplast, a manufacturer of chemically resistant centrifugal fans, to our e-shop's range of ventilation equipment. The Venplast chemically resistant centrifugal fans are used in a wide range of fields in chemical and industrial production, healthcare, food processing, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and many other industries where chemicals may be present.

The Venplast acid-resistant centrifugal fans excel with a wide range of performance, with guaranteed chemical resistance of the materials used (operating temperature from -15 °C to +60 °C). Air flow rates from 50 to 140,000 m3/h and pressures ranging from 30 to 6,500 Pa. The Venplast chemically resistant fans are powered by flange or foot-mounted electric motors. The impellers have forward or backward curved blades that are directly mounted on the electric motor shafts.

Chemically resistant centrifugal fans usually have a casing made of PE (polyethylene) and impellers made of PP (polypropylene). The only chemically resistant BA INOX centrifugal fans from Venplast are made of AISI304 or AISI316 stainless steel sheet (on request). The impeller is made of AISI304.

The Venplast chemical-resistant fans from are equipped as standard with single-speed three-phase electric motors for 400V, IP55 protection, class F insulation, in two, four, six or eight-pole versions for continuous operation.

The acid-resistant Venplast centrifugal fans are also manufactured in an ATEX explosion-proof design Ex for zone 1. The fans are designed for extracting gases and vapors of temperature classes T1 to T3, T4 (according to the manufacturer's specifications) for continuous operation.

The centrifugal fans are not protected against overload as standard. Therefore, it is essential to use suitable thermal protection in the electrical system during installation and commissioning.

For the installation of a complete HVAC system consisting of ducts and fans, it is necessary to use flexible connections and vibration isolators. For ideal operation and long service life, we recommend the accessories listed below.

  • flexible connections for suction and discharge
  • stainless steel clamps
  • anti-vibration kits
  • exhaust attachment with grille
  • motor cover
  • service switch
  • condensate drain attachment

Use of chemically resistant Venplast fans according to materials:

  • PVC (polyvinyl chloride) - engineering industry, extraction in chemical plants, charging stations, chlorine plants, wastewater treatment plants
  • PP - (polypropylene) - food industry, metal surface treatment, chemical industry, industrial washers, water treatment plants
  • PE - (polyethylene - electrically conductive) - food industry, water treatment plants, metal surface treatment, chemical plant extraction
  • PEel (polyethylene) – food industry, metal surface treatment, chemical plant extraction

Venplast fan variants:

  • Venplast P – acid-resistant centrifugal fans made of PP or PE

  • Venplast P Ex - chemically resistant non-explosive fans made of PEel
  • Venplast PC Ex - chemically resistant non-explosive fans made of PEel
  • Venplast PCM Ex - acid-resistant centrifugal fans for non-explosive Ex environments made of PEel
  • Venplast PR-K Ex - acid-resistant centrifugal fans for Ex explosion-proof environments made of PEel

Suitability of materials at tested temperatures

The properties of individual materials may vary slightly when the temperature of the transported air changes. Therefore, manufacturers provide 3 reference temperature values with corresponding information on resistance for selected materials.

The type of material and its suitability for a specific application is always specified by the customer. It depends not only on the chemical substance or compound being transported, but also on its concentration and possible combination with other extracted substances.

The same applies when using a fan in an explosive environment. The customer must determine whether or not the environment is potentially explosive. The manufacturer Venplast has only one explosion class for all models, which is Zone 1 ATEX II 2G IIC T4

Positions of spiral housings when viewed from the engine side        Pay attention to position 180...!

The position of the spiral casing is indicated when viewed from the motor side. The position of the spiral casing can be changed later, but it is never possible to change the orientation of the LG or RD.
